Richard Moore is a native of Philadelphia, PA and spent his early years on the east coast. In his early teens, his family moved to Colorado where he completed high school and college. He received the nickname Moo while serving in the military. He is currently serving as pastor in the Evangelical Covenant Church and has been since 1991. His professional background includes work as an elementary school teacher, continuing education instructor in the field of insurance and retirement planning and insurance broker. He has been a speaker at conferences on spirituality issues and health care (especially Alzheimer’s), as well as retreats and camps.
Mr. Moo’s involvement in politics began while living on the east coast at the age of 11. His involvement includes being a candidate (US Senate in 2002), directing campaigns, stuffing envelopes, going door to door. His main activities now include lobbying Congress and writing his column on the Partial Observer.
