Waking up a sleeping blog...
Boy, it's dusty in here!

So, for no really good reason, I decided to revise and revive my blog. After nearly two years of writer's block or perhaps just general apathy, I feel the need to communicate my humble opinions about the music that matters to me.
Now at the ripe old age of 40, I admit it's getting harder and harder to relate to the newer "rock" or "alt" or whatever the kids are calling it today. And like my mother used to say about my music, "they all sound alike." Actually they sound a lot like they did twenty years ago, which really frustrates me; they're seems to be little room left for rock, as a music genre, to grow. Even the newer music I like tends to remind me of older (and usually superior) music of 30 or more years ago.
Yes, I realize that I'm starting to sound like an old fuddy-duddy (especially when I use a term like fuddy-duddy), but if you want to read glowing reviews of the Black-Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon, Taylor Swift or the Jonas Brothers, go read the latest Rolling Stone, or "tweet" your friends (OMG, LOL, ;-)).
Anyway, for those that missed me, I'm back, and this time I'll try to add some elements that will keep me and hopefully my readers interested. More to come...
Another Spin is a reworking of an older music column of the Partial Observer, written by my alter-ego, "Dr. Spin."
In Dr. Spin's column I often addressed reader's musical questions, whereas Another Spin will be entirely my thoughts and observations on Rock music and popular music in general, occasionally reviewing albums that I think are worth noting and artists who I feel have been overlooked in the past. Of course, as with any other blog, people can still leave comments. I love to know if you agree or disagree with me."
