Burglar: Dumb and Dumber

Things weren't going to well for Raul. He had recently been divorced and was being sought after by the police for threatening his ex-wife. If that wasn't bad enough, he had agreed to help a buddy, who was headed home to threaten his own wife and burglarize the place. Raul hadn't realized that his own kids were being babysat by his buddy's wife when the two estranged husband's arrived at the house. Upon breaking in, Raul realized that he made the big mistake. His buddy's ex was there, with her new boyfriend and Raul's two children.

Dumb.

Upon breaking in, Raul recognized his kids. But thinking the kids wouldn't recognize their own father, he kept his mouth shut. The problem for Raul was that his bandana, used to cover the majority of his face kept slipping down around his neck. The kids recognized Dad. While the kids were hurried into a back room by the babysitter, Raul and his friend headed out the front door.

Dumber.

The authorities were quickly called and Raul was picked up within the hour. The buddy got away but Raul ended up in a back room of his own, at the county jail.

Police told reporters that they had been looking for Raul and this was the first good lead they had received. In addition to breaking and entering with intent to commit robbery, he was also charged with criminal mischief, two counts of menacing and child abuse.

Raul proved to the world that there is something dumber than helping a buddy robbed his own house. And that is breaking in to the house where your kids are located and everyone knows you, while you have a warrant out for your arrest. Oh, and not keeping the bandana tighter might have helped a little.

Even though this happened during the first week of the new year, you may get the honor of being the dumbest burglar of 2010.
